Summary
Good performance, value for money.
Pros
- Good outsole
- Excellent price
- Good comfort
- Very high value for money
Cons
- Looks a little dated
- Low durrability inner fabric liner
An excellent value-for-money outdoors shoe
Fit: A little on the wide side, so it's excellent for people like myself with wider than average feet. Lacing system tightens evenly.
Comfort: No break-in needed, and no chaffing spots
Support: Sole is excellent
Water Resistance: Not a waterproof shoe, but does keep the drizzle out and dries reasonably fast afterwards.
Traction: the traction is good, so far used in a variety of conditions including wet/icy rocks hiking in Scotland, and it performed reasonably well.
Temp control: Keeps feet reasonably cool
Construction and Durability: The outsoles appear great, the outers look durable, but after 3 months of use I have started to wear out the inner liner around the heel. No big deal I suppose, and it would not deter me from purchasing again as I have put on probably 30 trail miles and about 200 city miles so far.
