Awesome boot for the money. I purchased the boot in 2003 and the boot has held-up perfectly.

This boot does get warm in desert hiking but the support and traction more than make-up for that short coming. The boot is waterproof and handles well in wet locations. This boot is also a great winter boot and has worked well in Wisconsin and Illinois winters.

This boot is 7 years old and has held-up well, the outer sole is in perfect condition with minimal lug wear, the laces are in perfect condition, the foot bed is in great condition and the leather has held-up. From a distance they look new but I have worn them well. I have purchased other Merrell footwear and I have found them to be of the highest quality and utility.

Merrell products are of the highest performance and quality, the company responds quickly to consumer needs and product defects.

Enjoy with confidence.
