Excellent shoe with great traction on rocky and slippery surfaces. Very good support and they breathe very well. I hiked up the Madison Gulf trail from Pinkham Notch in NH - a 3700 ft. vertical rise with several stretches of face granite climbs and many large rocks and boulders on the trail. Soles stick like glue and my feet were well protected. Good room in the toe box, snug fit at the heel. I caried a heavy pack with no foot fatigue.
