Materials: gore-tex duratherm, 2,8 mm Hydrofuge leather + kevlar upper
Use: mountaineering
Break-in Period: quick to none
Weight: 700 gr each
Price Paid: $400
It's rock solid boot, step-in crampons compatible, well built. Inside the boot is covered with mix skintec thin leather so the gore-tex membrane is very well saved from wearing down. Gore-tex duratherm is supposed to perform like an insulation layer as well, but no such thing is available if you stop the activity and stand still. My fingers were all cold. I do not know how they would have turned out if I had stayed in the snow longer.
No break-in period, cannot complain about it at all. They are not too heavy, either. Very good and strong boots, but not warm enough.
