These shoes are SOOO comfortable, and the lacing system works flawlessly for me. Don't be turned off by the water shoe label, they are very good away from water as well. I've been wearing mine every day since I got them.

Fit: Perfect. The shoes are wide at the toe, but this allows for thicker socks when needed. Lacing system tightens the shoe around the foot, so while they look very wide and bulbous, they wear sleek.

Stability: Wide base helps with this, keeps you level on snow and sand. Lacing holds the foot with a soft, but firm, grip. Even though the shoes are mid-top, they aren't padded around the ankle, so it doesn't do anything for that. The laces, when cinched tight, seem to provide good support, at least for me.

Protection: Soft uppers, but the toes and top of the foot are protected by padding. If using these for hiking, sharp things can easily get around this.

Grip: Pretty good on wet, gluelike on dry. Good on soft terrain like snow or sand.

Breathability: Decent, neoprene hinders it somewhat, but this allows the shoes to be worn in cold temps.

Looks: They look like something out of a sci-fi movie. Expect strange looks.
