Montane Extreme Smock I use this smock for hiking…

Montane Extreme Smock

I use this smock for hiking and low temperature long distance walking.

Key features are: ATHLETIC CUT, DURABILITY, BREATHABILITY.

I am 6'6" so the good shape and long arms are handy, the Pertex 6 fabrique is very tough material, abraisan resistant and strengthened under the forearms and elbows, very breathable: i use it with a thin Odlo baselayer, and don't get sweaty at all, neither with backpack.

Unlike the coat, the smock has a 4-way ventillation, so when things get hot, just open on the two sides and the cangaroo pocket and the Crossvent system will work fine. 85% waterproof, what is pretty good, though with a day long big-drop rain will soak it, it does not contain any material what would keep the water inside, dries out pretty very very fast while on the move.

It has a plastic ring for idiot-cord, for keeping your gloves. A fastly attachable very good wired peaked hood, what can cover the full face. Two velcro to make it snug on the waist and on the arms as well.

Highly recommend for high activity in cold weather, fast ascends, ski touring...

(Use it with Montane hat and extreme gloves)
