Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: Leather and Gore-tex
Use: Multi-day hikes with heavy pack
Break-in Period: Very little
Price Paid: $140

I've worn the boot for a few 2 - 3 day hikes in ADKs and have not found a single flaw so far. No hot spots, no blisters, great ankle support, and no break in time are the reasons I fell in love with this boot. I highly recommend it.

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: Gore-tex
Use: overnight light fast pack
Break-in Period: wore them the same day up and around Tipanogos
Weight: not sure but they certainly feel light!
Price Paid: $140

The Montrail CTC Mid XCR is a wonderful overall shoe that provides excellent support for steep rough trail and flat pavement. Great traction and ankle support, they fit my feet like a glove with no noticed hot spots or friction. (I am a size ten with a narrow heel and a wide toe box.) Keep up the outstanding work Montrail!
