"The Montrail Wasatch II was designed for trail runners who need more midfoot support for control and edging and a good balance between protection and flexibility. The upper of the Wasatch II wraps the arch of your foot and over the instep, holding the shoe firmly against the sole of your feet and allowing edge control and dexterity on rough trails. Protection from stone bruising and other trail running hazards is provided by a flexible Polyurethane plate in the sole."
