Nice hat for the outdoors, not so much for around…

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: $15

Summary

Nice hat for the outdoors, not so much for around town.

Pros

  • Warm
  • Windproof
  • Comfortable
  • Durable

Cons

  • A bit odd looking
  • Sizing a bit large

I've been using this hat for about a year now and am quite satisfied with its quality, construction and comfort.

It blocks wind perfectly and is warm and comfortable. It's not the kind of hat I would wear around town, but in the outdoors it is the go-to cover for my "dome".

If you'd like a hat that's warm, comfortable and windproof then I'd recommend this one.

Rating: rated 2 of 5 stars

The "cone" perignon is built with solid MH structural integrity, no questions there. The fit however is ridiculous. When I first put mine on, it was perfect fit as far as circumference went, but there was enough space at the crown of my head to store a 16 oz nalgene bottle. If it were red, I could put a white puffball on top and wear to Christmas parties.

Unless you have an elongated cranium, like say Indiana Jones' crystal skull, this isn't for you. If you need extra storage space at the crown of your head, you're in luck. Cone, or maybe Spire, but not a dome.

Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Fabric: MH Windstopping Fleece ?
Price Paid: $20

I wanted a MH hat that would cover my ears and fit well. It fits nice and tight with good coverage over the ears. I don't think it's warms enough by itself for extreme cold with high winds, but it works well for everything else and looks good.
