Lets face it, how many times do you need -30 degree protection? I bought this bag because I am a cold sleeper and wanted to be protected in any cold weather circumstance. The bag's zipper helps a lot when it's warmer than ten degrees, because you can start to unzip it at the feet and let some are in to control the temperature.

The ThermicMircro insulation compresses amazingly small and is very soft and comfy. The shell is treated with DWR water-resisting coating and repels water well, but is not waterproof. The fabric on the shell is thin so so do NOT be rough with the bag or else it will tear. Also, the draft collar's velcro connections are somewhat annoying when it rubs against your bare shoulder.

The wide cut is great for putting next days clothes for warming up and changing into in the morning. The pockets inside the bag located opposite the zipper are useful for storing your cellphone and equipment you would keep in your pockets.

This bag deserves five stars because it packs amazing warmth into its loft 5 pounds. This bag is worth the 200 dollars and will last you a long time if well maintained.

P.S- I bought this bag from campmor.com and the $200 is the regular length bag's price.
