If you ever run across one of these tents for sale... get it.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Easy to set up once you have done it a few times

Cons

  • No longer available new

This is one of the better single or perhaps one and a half person tents that has been around in the past 5 years or so,  and the weight is excellent for an ounce counter. The fly provides a covered vestibule for all your gear, and the tent itself is long enough for an over six footer.

The tent has a real learning curve with the setup. The middle bar has a weird set of clips and a cloth rig to it, but once you have seen it set up and set it up tired a couple times it becomes easy and makes a bit more sense. The tent is NOT free standing, but is VERY fast to set up, and I rarely use more than a stake at either end to keep everything taut.

The sack for the tent is a bit small, but with a little twisting and pushing everything will fit.

I have not had any issues with condensation, and have only been in it in a light sprinkle. Inside there are a couple of storage spots but I rarely use them other than for glasses overnight.
