HDPE framesheet and two aluminum stays give the pack vertical form and help transfer the weight of the load to your hips. "Besides being just plain cute, this is a great pack! I can get to all of my gear easily, and it is very comfortable to carry. The only issue is that it is a little on the small side, and I wouldn't recommend it for any trips where you have to carry your own tent."
