Rating: rated 0.5 of 5 stars
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: $5

Summary

Of myself, my wife, and son, none of us liked this at all. A spoonful each, a contorted facial expression and the rest went in the trash. The package claims "No preservative, no artificial colors, flavors or additives" but reading through the ingredients reveals "Partially Hydrogenated Soybean &/or Cottonseed Oils." Do NOT recommend.

Pros

  • It was easy to make.

Cons

  • Tasted terrible — Couldn't finish it.
  • No so natural as the marketing aludes to.

One of several new deserts taken on a recent 6-day trip. This was relatively easy to prepare. Mix with water, stir, wait, stir and top with the crumb topping.

There was way too much crumb topping that was way too dry and the texture of what I imagine cat litter might be like. The crumbs were too overpowering and the banana glop just tasted nasty. Not one of the three of us liked it.

I will typically give anything a second mouthful as often the first mouthful may just take a little getting used to but this was just not worthy. The bulk of it went in the garbage. And I was not happy at all to later find hydrogenated oil in the ingredients list of something claiming to be "natural."
