Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: $100

I wore this shoe in employ as security on a construction site nearly a year, too in darkness. My purchase intent was for outdoor recreation use hiking trails to fishing sites and stomping in the woods.

The 966 walker I can say, as I have worn the shoe over two years with replacement once, is a superior piece of footwear for uneven ground and instant readjustment to leveling of foot.

It is waterproof minus the tongue area, has very good wearing soles, offered in narrow width and offers very good cushioning on hard surfaces. Not once in the two dozen times or better an obstacle pitched the foot did the shoe fail to correct -- very rare.

Proper width sizing a must for shoe to perform. Cushion insert is ok, but a gel type will keep impressions from forming underneath toes into shoe under insert as repeated wear in high humidity causes.
