rated 4 of 5 stars

The Air Switchblade has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best approach shoes for 2024.

Pros: Fantastic fit, they run small (good if you are actually going to use it on rock), very comfortable, look cool.

Cons: Poor design of strap that runs around heel (wears down and tears), sticky sole material means that the soles wear down very quickly if you wear them on the street.

Of course, the biggest con is that they aren't available any more, so I can't replace them, which I would love to do.

Materials: leather, nylon
Use: bouldering, scrambling, day-hikes
Break-in Period: none
Weight: very light
Price Paid: $50 (Nike outlet store)
