Best shoes EVER! I bought these for hiking and ended up wearing them practically 24/7. These are the comfiest shoes I have ever put on and are even better for hiking. I wish Nike didn't discontinue them. It really saddens me.

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Cross trainers are excellent for gym workouts, but you get what you pay for when you hit the trails. One or two missteps and a rolled ankle create a distinct demarcation between bargain discount cross training shoes and performance trail running footwear. While Nike ACG's Air Zoom Terra Ridge doesn't carry a bargain cross trainer price, it does give you enough lightweight support and comfortable cushion to transition between road and trail without stretching structural limitations. Up top you'll find Nike ACG's full Dynamic-Fit sleeve upper construction that wraps your foot in a snug, road-ready fit with the added protection of textile panels to keep trail mud and muck on the outside. A supportive injected TPU cage frame spans the toe, sides and midfoot of the shoe to help protect your foot on uneven terrain. The forefoot also has a perforated TPU stone shield around your toes to add flex. Beneath it all is Nike's proven waffle outsole pattern, but look closely and you'll see BRS 1000 carbon rubber along the heel and sticky rubber along the forefoot--it's everything you need to take to the streets and the trail in a single run without sidestepping the tough stuff. As for fit and cushion, the Nike ACG Air Zoom Terra Ridge features a medium width with 3/4-length Zoom Air cushioning from the heel forward.
