These are an outstanding boot. I bought these while I still owned a couple other hiking boots. My Lowa's and Montrail boots don't even compare to the comfort of these boots. They are very lightweight but, offer enough support around the ankle that I am going to wear them backpacking this spring.

What a great boot.

The best shoe I have ever had on my feet. I use this shoe to play Disc Golf. Great to keep your feet dry in the rain and very lightweight. Excellent traction. I own three pairs.

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

While many day hikers still consider light hiking boots a recent innovation, Nike's lightweight and versatile Tengu III Mid GTX is already recognized as a classic among campers and daytime trail enthusiasts. Beneath the durable leather and textile upper is a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex XCR membrane that keeps rain, snow and muck out of your socks and away from your skin. There's a cushy full-length Phylon midsole to keep the spring in your step and an internal shank just above the outsole for additional support along the rough and rocky spots. Like all of the best outdoor hiking boots that Nike has to offer, the Tengu III Mid GTX has Nike's All-Trac trail outsole for excellent traction on a range of natural surfaces.
