Bought this pack on a whim from Northern Mtn. Supply at half price. Wow, what a great purchase! Very comfortable with moderate loads (what it's designed for). Rides on my back like it's part of me. Great workmanship and materials. Fairly light. Decent pocket arrangement for a hydration bladder, though a bit small. Bought the Solo pack that attaches to the back and can also be used alone as a day pack with the main pack's shoulder straps. Adds about 500 cubic inches to the main pack's 3900. The waist belt uses a unique tightening system that works extremely well. This pack is short on bells and whistles but long on comfort and quality. I highly recommend it. Anyone interested in a lightly used Dana external?
