Here's what other sites are saying:

From Backcountry.com:
"Outdoor Research made the Cascadia Gaiters with lightweight, waterproof Gore-Tex Paclite fabric, so you can hike through rainy days without a care in the world. Or atleast without getting wet pants, socks, and legs. The Cascadia Gaiter's elastic bottom edge seals around your hiking boot, and the instep strap keeps the gaiter from slipping around. Tighten the Cascadia Gaiter's top hook-and-loop strap, attach the hook to your boot laces, and venture out onto wet Appalachian or Rocky Mountain trails."

From Moosejaw:
"On Sale. Free Shipping. Outdoor Research Cascadia Gaiters (Fall 2009) The Cascadia Gaiters by Outdoor Research are designed for hiking, backpacking, and x-c ski boots. Specifications: Avg. weight: 6.7 oz. / 190 g Features: 2-layer 70D Gore-Tex Paclite leg section Coated 8 oz. pack cloth boot section Strap and cam buckle top closure 1in.-wide hook/loop front closure Boot lace hook and snap bottom closure Elastic bottom edge Nylon-supported rubber instep strap"

From Altrec Outdoors:
"If there is a company that specializes in gaiter design, it might be Outdoor Research. Some staff members here have owned Outdoor Research gaiters throughout their entire hiking life. So it makes sense when Outdoor Research creates specific gaiter designs for specific applications, like this Cascadia Gaiter. Weighing in at nearly half the weight of the award-winning Expedition Crocodile Gaiters, the Cascadia is a two-ply waterproof, breathable gaiter design intended for hiking, backpacking and cross-country skiing. Outdoor Research wrapped the GORE-TEX PacLite fabric around the leg area for comfort and then used rugged coated packcloth throughout the boot area where vapor transfer needs are not a factor. By placing the right textiles in the right spots, Outdoor Research significantly reduced the overall weight. A durable, nylon-supported rubber instep strap and hook-and-loop attachment keeps the Cascadia firmly attached to your hiking and backpacking boots. If you need a gaiter for mountaineering in subzero conditions, the Cascadia isn't your gaiter, but if you cover trail throughout the year, this is a gaiter in stride with your outdoor lifestyle."

From RockCreek:
"The Cascadia Gaiters by Outdoor Research are perfect for wading through dripping spring foliage. A Gore-Tex PacLite leg section provides waterproof and breathable protection on wet trails and stream crossings. A coated packcloth boot section with an elastic bottom edge keeps mud and slush at bay. The Cascadia Gaiter also features an adjustable nylon-supported rubber instep strap that ensures a secure fit to any boot."

"Durable gaiters from a good company. I ripped out one of the underboot straps while wearing them with crampons, and OR stitched 'em back up for me. A good buy."
