Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Fabric: Gore-tex paclite
Price Paid: $129

Fully featured jacket that is super lite. One of the best out there. The torso flo side zips work better than any other venting system I have used. It is apparent a lot of thought went into the design of this jacket. It does trade some durability for weight but if weight is a factor this jacket is hard to beat. If OR made this jacket in a heavy duty version under 20 oz. people would beat a path to their door.

Here's what other sites are saying:

While garment weight is always a key factor on technical backpacking and mountaineering trips, some ultralight minimalist jackets lose functionality in the quest for shedding excess ounces.

The Outdoor Research Men's Celestial Rain Jacket weighs an impressively light 10.2oz without sacrificing important features like fully taped seams and side venting. Climbers love the high chest pockets that don't interfere with their harnesses, while backpackers like the TorsoFlo side zippers when they need to let in some more air to keep from overheating. The Celestial Jacket has a dual-pull adjustable hood which seals up tightly when you're battling through a storm. Water-resistant zippers eliminate the need for storm flaps, thereby eliminating excess weight.
