This jacket is a simple, no frills, no-nonsense goretex…

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Fabric: goretex paclite

This jacket is a simple, no frills, no-nonsense goretex paclite shell. Its front closure is a waterproof zip. There's no storm flap over the zip, but the zip works just as efficiently without one. A basic hood design and velcro cuff adjusters, along with a small, useful L/H chest pocket (also with a waterproof zip) complete the jacket.

My jacket, though a size large, is a wee bit snug, so maybe best to get a size larger than you may normally wear.

Outdoor Research say it's 7.5 oz, but my scales weighed the jacket as 5.5 oz! Bargain!!!

If your an ultra-lightweight gear freak (you know who you are!! Me included!! ha! ha!) then get one.
