OutdoorsmanLab Ultralight Inflatable Pad

rated 4.5 of 5 stars
photo: OutdoorsmanLab Ultralight Inflatable Pad air-filled sleeping pad

This is a great, summer-only, inflatable sleeping pad. Very light, and packs down small. Easy to inflate.

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Easy to inflate
  • Quiet
  • Light and packs down small

Cons

  • R-Value of 2.2. Only good for summer.

Packs down small and is very light. This is a summer pad only. This was my first purchase when I decided to go away from the Alps Mountaineering, self-inflating pad.

A large intake hole makes this super easy to inflate. It is also easy to deflate and pack up.

This inflatable pad is very quiet. I'm a restless sleeper and I can roll over on this pad without affecting my neighbors.

Comfort is not an issue. If I am sitting up then my elbow might touch the ground. And when I shift portions of my body briefly touch. In a resting position this pad is as comfortable as my other pad.

With an R-Value of 2.2 this sleeping pad is only suitable for summer camping.

This is a great value at less than $45 on Amazon.

Background

I've used this on one backpacking trip. It worked fine, just needed a warmer pad for the fall backpacking season. I'm keeping this one, but I primarily use my Klymit. I used an Alps Mountaineering pad before purchasing this one.
