This pack worked well with my dog. I bought the large for my 45 lb Shepard/Collie Mix. The pockets are not super big. The pack held 4 sandwich sized bags of dry food and a quart of water. The pack weight should be balanced on both sides to avoid sliding to one side.
My dog had no issues wearing it. It felt comfortable to him. He liked it. Hehe.
