User Review: Patagonia Men's Adventure Pants
Rating: ![]()
Source: bought it new
Price Paid: Employee discount brought it to around $55
Summary
Owned since April 2006, still look almost new in January 2013. They have been backpacking, gardening, chore-doing, and even shopping. I avoided climbing in them to prolong life. It has worked wonderfully. Best pants I have ever owned, bar none. Awesome pocket space.
Pros
- Durable
- Comfortable
- Spacious pockets
- Solid construction
- Length-to-waist ratio
Cons
- A little warm
- A little baggy
- Pocket material
They've bushwacked, knelt on concrete, grass and everything in between, had a pack hipbelt ride on them for probably over 150 miles total, and sat on loads of stuff. Not all of it good.
Pros and cons: I'm almost perfectly average 32 waist 30ish inseam. These fall just 1/4 inch above the upper edge of shoe soles.
If you like a closer fit, this isn't it. I like the fit, personally
The pockets are made of a smooth, soft material with widely spaced small holes. Like a jersey mesh with more fabric than holes. It's not a huge drawback, I just think it's a bit weird.
