photo: Patagonia Baggies Skirt hiking skirt

Great unisex hiking or running skirt. Skirt allows you what to or NOT to wear beneath for activity. Great baggies material with flat waistband plus drawstring.

Pros

  • Baggies material
  • Flat waistband
  • Quick dry
  • Comfortable fit

Cons

  • Pockets too shallow
  • No cargo pocket

Baggie Skirt is one of the best new Patagonia products in a long time!

This skirt is ideal attire for backpacking, hiking, running, trekking, and walking. It is my new morning striding bottom. Baggie skirt is perfect for working out on our ranch, sharing a morning cuppa, running errands, and computing in my home office. This product will have many women and men adopters. This skirt is so much more than “just” a swimsuit cover up.

Thanks for keeping this a skirt — as I get to choose what to wear, or preferably NOT wear underneath. :-)

XL weighs 150 g (4.25 oz.) and is 39 cm (15.25 in.) on the side seam. The material is classic Baggie — light, comfortable, quick drying, and durable. The size is true in waist and hips, with some adjustment using the drawstring. I found the wide waistband and flat drawstring feel nice under my backpack hip belt.

Baggie skirt would get my “6” star rating if available in the same bright all-solid (no contrasting waist panel) colors like Baggie shorts and if the mesh pockets were about 4 cm deeper.

Baggie skirt will become another classic. Suspect I will see men and women wearing Baggie skirt on the trail.  Just ordered my second skirt.
