A tight fit space wise for an overnighter. I was able to pack all my essentials for a trip up Mt. Baker. Comfortable around 30 lbs, designed to ride high above waist line. Main benefit is the clean design, it's very water resistant and loved the cover for your hydration tube. Still it left me with a sore back, and I had to exchange the large for a regular size.
