I love this coat. I wear it in conjunction with the Micro Puff Pants. It is warm enough for summer nights in the mountains but barely weighs anything. It has kept me warm into the teens, stuffs down to nothing, and takes up almost no space in my pack. I also like the trim athletic fit.
Wish they had offered the hoody at the time I bought this one (mine is about five years old). Only downside is that is not fire proof (camp-fire in the wind). Patches add character right?

As reliable as a rock-solid climbing partner, the high-loft Micro Puff warms in all conditions, never argues for leads and always lets you have the last of the ramen. Its tough, windproof polyester shell has a Deluge(R) DWR (durable water repellent) finish and houses 100-g PrimaLoft(R) Sport, a compressible, warm-when-wet synthetic insulation that allows for a clean front devoid of cold spots, yet won't clump, separate or drift. The shell and lining are made of 100% recycled polyester. Other features: articulated elbows, gasket cuffs, a full-length zip (backed by a wind flap) with a Deluge DWR finish, zippered handwarmer pockets, one interior zippered security pocket, a drawcord hem and stuffsack.

If your trip or spring expedition runs the risk of getting wet, then the Patagonia Micro Puff Insulated Jacket can effectively insulate you while you hunker down in a tent to wait out the rain or freak June snowstorm. The power of the PrimaLoft Sport insulation becomes apparent in cold and wet climates, because it can still lock in your body's warmth when wet, but it also dries quickly and can easily compress and fit into your alpine pack. But thanks to the water- and wind-resistant recycled polyester shell, you don't have to worry about sprinkles or heavy flurries slowing down your alpine travels.
