This is a great vest. It was really cheap at the Patagonia outlet here in Reno, and I wanted a down vest but I couldn't pass up the deal on this vest.
I use it as a pillow when I climb in my bag and it works great. It folds into itself and zips closed. It compresses to about 2"-3" thick by 6" long by 4" tall. I like vests over jackets personally because they keep my core warm which is all I really ever need (in good weather) and that way I am a lot less encumbered by bulky sleeves. The vest is really warm and works perfectly.
I highly recommend it and it is cheaper than down as well. Tuff to beat.
