Outstanding bombproof pants. I ski patrol and do mountain rescue in the wet Northwest and these have been very reliable up until recently. After 3-4 years of good hard use (where they held up exceptionally), I had some Gore-Tex delaminating issues in the crotch. Patagonia stood by their warranty though and sent me a gift card for a new pair (they ran out of replacement stock).

Patagonia's Primo Pants are the most durable and lightweight hard-shell pants Patagonia makes, the 3-layer nylon Primos are made with GORE-TEX fabric for waterproof/breathable performance.
A testament to fortitude, Primos provide exceptional durability for seasons that start with an early October storm cycle and don't let up until the last June corn. Our most wear-resistant shell pant, the burly Primos have a 3-layer, recycled nylon GORE-TEX(R) fabric for exceptionally durable waterproof/breathable and windproof performance. A Deluge(R) DWR (durable water repellent) finish prevents saturation and remains unfazed when faced with the dank moisture of coastal storms. The waist has a slick taffeta and self-fabric lining, adjustable tabs to fine-tune the fit, and a gusseted crotch for mobility. Coated, watertight Slim Zips are burly without the bulk. Leg features include a highly articulated shape, external Vislon(R) zipper thigh vents, tough scuff guards and internal gaiters to seal out snow when you're wallowing. Loop on rear yoke securely attaches pants to powder skirt on any Patagonia(R) Snow jacket. Zippered pockets: two handwarmers, one right thigh and one back. Includes an embedded RECCO(R) avalanche rescue reflector.
Patagonia has earned a reputation for durable outerwear that will last for years, even in the most abusive relationships. So, when Patagonia calls a pant its 'most bombproof,' you know it can hold up to some serious hardship. That's the claim that Patagonia made for its Primo Pant. From its super-tough recycled nylon main body fabric to its 3-layer Gore Tex laminate, you know the Primo will be around for a while. And, as always, Gore Tex means guaranteed waterproof and guaranteed breathable, so you can handle anything that nature throws your way without feeling moist and clammy. Patagonia didn't hold back when it designed the Primo pant. Gore-Tex 3-Layer represents the absolute best that the industry has to offer. The main body fabric is recycled nylon--known for its durability. Tough, reinforced kick patches at the ankles fight off attacks by sharp ski edges, so your cuffs won't fill up with snow after a run in the deep stuff. The Untracked pant's fit is Progressive, which is Patagonia-speak for loose. The highly articulated fit moves with you while you hike or ski and feels comfortable and natural, and the articulated knees and gusseted crotch add to this feel. Zippered thigh vents make it easy to dump heat when you need to. Patagonia finished the pant off with a Recco reflector, which aids in search and rescue should you become involved in an in-bounds avalanche.
