Patagonia Untracked Pants
Where to Buy
Here's what other sites are saying:
Thoroughly tested and tweaked by our snow ambassadors, the Untracked Pants are constructed with articulated fits that move with you and won't bunch, enhancing movement when riding big lines in Haines, diving into Telluride's deep end, and finessing the drops Fingers of Squaw. The premium fabric package combines a limber resilient 3-layer nylon GORE-TEX(R) fabric for waterproof/breathable and windproof protection with a soft, brushed interior to increase warmth and manage moisture while minimizing bulk. A DWR (durable water repellent) finish prevents saturation. The highly articulated fit and flexed pattern at the knees allows exceptional mobility for both hiking and aggressive charging big lines. Mesh-lined thigh vents with Vislon(R) zippers circulate air and keep snow out when postholing; gaiters with gripper elastic and a DWR finish create a seal for serious postholing. Other features include watertight, coated Slim Zips to reduce bulk and weight, a burly scuff guard, slick taffeta and self-fabric lining at the waist, adjustable tabs to fine-tune the fit, an embedded RECCO(R)avalanche rescue reflector and five pockets: two handwarmers, two thigh and one rear pocket.

Whether you're one of Patagonia's mountain ambassadors, or just a powder-addict getting his yearly heli-fix, you'll love the Untracked Pant. Built with a tough, lightweight Gore-Tex 3-layer laminate, the Untracked represents the tippy-top of outerwear technology. As always, Gore Tex means guaranteed waterproof and guaranteed breathable, so you can handle anything that nature throws your way without feeling moist and clammy. Patagonia didn't pull any punches when it designed the Untracked pant. Gore-Tex 3-Layer represents the absolute best that the industry has to offer. The main body fabric is plain weave nylon--known for its durability. Tough, reinforced kick patches at the ankles fight off attacks by sharp ski edges, so your cuffs won't fill up with snow after a run in the deep stuff. That's not to say the Untracked pant has a rough-and-tumble feel--Patagonia lined the pant with a soft, brushed, 75D polyester backer for a comfortable feel against the skin. The Untracked pant's fit is Progressive, which is Patagonia-speak for loose. The highly articulated fit moves with you while you hike or ski and feels comfortable and natural. Patagonia finished the pant off with a Recco reflector, which aids in search and rescue should you become involved in an avalanche.
