"The Petzl Meteor III Climbing Helmet's ultralight design suits sport and trad climbers who don't want to get on the rock with a heavy brain bucket on their heads. Thanks to a well-vented, in-molded design, this helmet hardly gets noticed when you're up on a pitch. Whether you're getting after it in the middle of the summer or the dead of winter, the Petzl Meteor III Climbing Helmet adjusts to accommodate beanies."

From REI:
"The ultralight, well-ventilated Meteor III helmet from Petzl delivers amazing comfort that allows climbers to stay focused on their climbing. With double the ventilation over the previous Meteor models, this helmet maximizes airflow for comfort in warm climates. Made of shelled polystyrene foam for a fit that is so light, you might even forget it's on! For a custom fit, helmet's nape strap and headband strap adjust quickly for just the right feel. Nylon webbing chinstrap can be adjusted with the helmet on or off. Four clips help secure headlamps for late-night vertical use; headband retracts for transport. Includes carry bag for storage and transport. Meets all UIAA and CE specifications for shock and energy absorption, conical impact, security of retention straps and ventilation standards. One size fits head circumferences 53 - 61cm (20.8 - 24 inches)."

From EMS:
"The new Meteor helmet is so light you'll forget you're wearing it, until the first rock pings off the top. Built for climbing and mountaineering, this helmet is loaded with features to enhance your comfort and safety. Low-profile design keeps you from looking like a mushroom head at the local crag. Plenty of ventilation to keep you cool. Tough polycarbonate shell with an expanded polystyrene layer to absorb shock; polyester straps. Removable soft foam comfort areas on the headband and top of head; one size fits heads 21 to 24 inches in circumference. Headband easily adjusts for head circumference at the nape; retracts for carrying. Integrated headlamp clips keep your light where you need it. Preset inserts for the Petzl Vizion face shield (sold separately). Meteor III has twice the ventilation of the older model (87 sq. cm). "Great helmet. I can wear it with or without hats or dreads very comfortably. It vents great in the summer and you forget that it is on head. I have taken several small falls and knocked my noggin with this helmet and it is still in good shape."

"Any helmet is better than no helmet. Remember though, the best helmet is the one that you never have to test.
This one is good enough but the less expensive ones work too.

Fit is more important than style. Why? Glad you asked. BECAUSE if it doesn't fit it may not work correctly, and now, what's style gonna do for you if your forehead is under your chin?"
