Very good progress capture pulley.

Pros

  • Smooth ball bearing and aluminum sheave
  • Bigger pulley size
  • Toothed cam captures progress immediately
  • Can be opened while in use

Cons

  • Size, not as packable as others

Review on the older style, the design is newer for 2015.

This is a great pulley. Used it to haul large amounts of rope and gear in caves. The larger diameter helps, as well as the progress capture cam.

One trip I was hauling by myself and could barely get the load to move. The cam captured every bit of my progress so I was able to get the load up. Could not have done it with a regular pulley.

Another big bonus is the ability to remove or add the haul line while the pulley is clipped to the anchor. You won't drop the pulley if it's clipped in.
