Here's what other sites are saying:

From Backcountry.com:
"Last year, Pieps introduced the first all-digital triple-antenna beacon, and this year's DSP Smart Transmitter returns largely unchanged, but with a more intuitive button layout that's easier to operate with gloves on. Digital technology in the DSP allows for quick, precise pinpointing of the strongest signal among multiple burials, and the triple antenna increases reliable detection range out to 60 meters, with direction indication starting at 50 meters. Once the first buried beacon is found and marked, a simple button press blocks the signal and moves to the next one, reducing the chances of interference and saving valuable minutes. SCAN mode indicates distance to multiple signals from a single location. The DSP for 07 / 08 is also compatible with Pieps' new Smart Probe technology, and can receive software updates from Pieps every year."

From Oregon Mountain Community:
"Pieps has stood for high quality, innovative electronic avalanche rescue equipment for more than 20 years. After the introduction to the market in 2003, the Pieps DSP has quickly become the preferred beacon for backcountry skiers and rescue professionals. The Pieps DSP combines the most modern digital search technology with 3 antennas to create the most user-friendly beacon on the market. Whether you’re faced with a single or multiple burial situation, the Pieps DSP’s unique features makes things smooth and easy for the searcher. Pieps DSP Features: RANGE: The Pieps DSP provides the longest search range of any digital beacon. (60 meters) MARK BUTTON: During multiple victim searches, once the closest victim is located, pressing the MARK button enables the searching beacon to eliminate the closest signal, allowing ONLY the next closest victim to then be displayed. SCAN BUTTON: Used for multiple burials. This function scans the surrounding area allowing the searching beacon to display the location of the buried victims in one of three ranges (0-5 m, 5-20 m, and 20 –50m). The Pieps DSP is the only beacon that can tell you how many victims are buried. Adjustable harness system with pouch to keep the unit secure. It can be worn on the hip or in the center of the chest. · SOFTWARE UPGRADEABLE: The Pieps DSP includes a waterproof earphone jack that doubles as a USB 2.0 port. This feature makes the Pieps DSP the first and only software upgradeable beacon."

From CampSaver.com:
"The Pieps DSP Smart Avalanche Trasceiver has an unrivaled outstanding digital range that will transmit and receive all around in all directions! The DSP also works with multiple buriels and helps you locate and find buried victims fast. The Pieps DSP also"

From REI:
"With new, powerful 5.0 software and improved functionality, the Pieps DSP avalanche transceiver improves search speed, effectiveness and precision. Three antenna system pinpoints the location of burials within a 50m range regardless of antenna orientation and burial depth. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology displays transmitting units as stick figures on an easy-to-view LCD screen. When signals are detected, the approximate distance and direction to the burials are displayed—simply follow the arrows to reach a burial. During multiple burial scenarios, the DSP separates the multiple signals and clearly displays the number of buried victims. Upon locating the position of the first victim, the searcher can mark and mask the found signal and immediately begin searching for other burials. Smart Transmitter works while buried by receiving signals of other burials, synchronizing them, and then transmitting a signal without any overlap. Eliminating signal overlap allows the searcher to quickly interpret the audible and visual information with increased accuracy and less confusion. Pieps DSP can measure frequency deviation of all transceivers, a great pre-ski tour test to conduct. Transceivers that deviate significantly from standard 457 kHz frequency can be difficult to locate because the signal is not detected at full strength. Knowing the level of deviation present in a transceiver allows a party to thoroughly assess transceiver operation prior to heading out. Improved scan function quickly narrows the field into three distinct search ranges and returns an overview of all buried devices within each range. Updated buttons are now easier to use than previous versions while wearing gloves. Adjustable, nylon harness with pouch keeps the unit secure and accessible. Compatible with all beacons operating on the 457 kHz frequency. Operates on three AAA batteries, included."
