FlameStower Heat Charger

rated 1 of 5 stars The Flamestower’s technology is tried and true at this point in time, however, the product itself could use some design changes. With the Flamestower you will be able to charge most small electronic devices with the majority of backpacking and camp stoves on the market, as well as with a small camp fire. Due to the nature of the Flamestower’s design, it may become damaged but still operable(for how long?) during normal use. As much as I wanted to like this product, I do not think I could recommend… Full review

BioLite KettleCharge

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A kettle with a built-in thermoelectric generator that can charge USB-powered devices off-grid. Heat water, get a charge. A superb option for emergency use during power outages and something to consider for multi-day basecamp expeditions, but likely too much weight to justify its presence on most backpacking trips. BioLite KettleCharge The BioLite KettleCharge is a flat, stainless steel kettle with an opening for filling or pouring from the kettle, and a plastic handle that rises about the top of… Full review

InstaPark Mercury 10 Solar Panel Charger

rated 4 of 5 stars On a week-long, dark backpacking trip, I kept my phone/camera and GoPro fully charged. I can only imagine if I have SUN. Very affordable and would highly recommend. As weight conscience as I was, I never regretted bringing this on my trek. I looked and research other, more popular, chargers, but they offered less, lower watts, and cost more. This solar charger is a 10 watt, three-panel charger that includes two external batteries (USB and Micro connections) cables and even a special iPad/iPhone… Full review

HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000

rated 1 of 5 stars I used it one time. It would not recharge. Full review

Goal Zero Sherpa 50 Recharger

rated 4 of 5 stars All around handy charger. A little bulky. And don't even entertain one if you're a pound shaver. This thing is wonderful. I've completely charged my laptop twice with it on one charge. Mine also came with a power inverter that screws on the side securely. Very well built and constructed to last. Full review

Anker Astro Mini External Battery

rated 4 of 5 stars This slim and sleek external battery is excellent for charging your phone (or other electronic device) on overnight trips in the great outdoors. A lot of people use their phone as their camera or for GPS, and this external battery allows you to charge your device without having electricity. It's also fairly inexpensive! This external battery/portable charging device works excellent to charge your mobile electronics on overnight trips. Depending on how much you use your phone and what you use it… Full review

HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000

rated 4 of 5 stars Used about eight times. Works fast. Completely charges my Samsung Galaxy in two hours. No problems so far. I received this as a Christmas gift. I often forget to charge my phone before leaving home so this is very handy for me. I have used it at least eight times with great results each time. So far, so good. The only thing I don't like is that the charge light stays on for awhile after you unplug it and that seems like a waste of power. Full review

myFC PowerTrekk Fuel Cell Charger

rated 2 of 5 stars An innovative charging system designed to use water to generate electricity to charge small electronics in the backcountry. Unfortunately it did not perform adequately due to production and other errors. The MyFC powertrekk fuel cell is designed to use water as a fuel source. Included in the box was the fuel cell system, power cord with adaptable tip, and connection plugs for popular electronic devices including a mini-usb and iPhone/iPad plugs for all current generations. Also included were 9 fuel… Full review

Goal Zero Guide 10 Power Pack

rated 5 of 5 stars Very well thought out piece of gear. Will charge my phone two times with a full charge on the Guide 10. On a cloudy day might be lucky to get half charge, but guess you can't bet that. I mean it's all free energy. I really think Goal Zero did a great job!!!! Full review
