EnerPlex Jumpr Slate 5K-L

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A great battery storage system for all your electronics. 5 milliampere-hour of storage. Super thin design. The EnerPlex Jumpr Slate 5K is a simple to use storage battery with an integrated power plug that can be used to recharge any mini USB compatible device. Measuring  6 5/8 inches by 3 5/8 inches and only 1/4 inch thick the Jumpr Slate weighs just 6.5 ounces. To charge up the battery, plug the supplied power adapter into an outlet and insert the mini USB plug into the Jumpr Slate. Four green… Full review

EasyAcc 20000mAh Rugged Power Bank

rated 5 of 5 stars This is the most durable power bank that I have found. It's dustproof, waterproof, and shockproof. It also has a built-in flashlight and SOS signal. I have been looking for a portable battery bank for a long time. My phone and cameras are always running low when I am out traveling or hiking with my family. I was about to get a cheap power bank, but then EasyAAC approached me about making a video of their battery bank for my YouTube channel.  In the video below I unbox the power bank and check out… Full review

HALO Pocket Power StarLight 3000

rated 1 of 5 stars Product defective. Replacement defective. Further contact ignored by company. Product arrived DOA so I emailed support and received a return authorization which I filled out and returned with the defective product at my expense. I received a replacement which was also DOA but with a different failure mode. Subsequent efforts to contact the company were ignored. So, I paid for the product and paid to return the defective product and was then ignored when I asked for another replacement. Full review

Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Recharger

rated 4 of 5 stars I'm hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and do a lot of night hiking looking for a campsite or going for water. The Guide Ten make my life and hike easier and safer knowing I will always have fresh batteries for my headlamp. I don't have to carry a lot of extra batteries and the Guide Ten is easy to use. FlameStower Heat Charger

rated 1 of 5 stars Does not work! Tested it for 1.5 hours at various distances from the gas stove and including putting an ice into the water. Did not charge a single percent—neither my phone (HTC First) nor my satellite communicator InReach. Full review

InstaPark Mercury 10 Solar Panel Charger

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Quality charger, but somewhat heavy. Charger looks solid, charges very fast. Problem is that for me it is a little bit heavy for backpacking (about 0.5 kg) and too expensive. It can be attached to a backpack, but I think it will be not comfortable when you have a tent and sleeping pad already attached.  In the future I most probably will give a chance to another more lightweight options, which are many in the market. BioLite KettleCharge

rated 5 of 5 stars A kettle with a built-in thermoelectric generator that can charge USB-powered devices off-grid. Heat water, get a charge. A superb option for emergency use during power outages and something to consider for multi-day basecamp expeditions, but likely too much weight to justify its presence on most backpacking trips. Check out my video review: Full review

FlameStower Heat Charger

rated 1 of 5 stars The Flamestower’s technology is tried and true at this point in time. However, the product itself could use some design changes. With the Flamestower you will be able to charge most small electronic devices with the majority of backpacking and camp stoves on the market, as well as with a small camp fire. Due to the nature of the Flamestower’s design, it may become damaged but still operable (for how long?) during normal use. As much as I wanted to like this product, I do not think I could recommend… Full review

BioLite KettleCharge

rated 3.5 of 5 stars A kettle with a built-in thermoelectric generator that can charge USB-powered devices off-grid. Heat water, get a charge. A superb option for emergency use during power outages and something to consider for multi-day basecamp expeditions, but likely too much weight to justify its presence on most backpacking trips. BioLite KettleCharge The BioLite KettleCharge is a flat, stainless steel kettle with an opening for filling or pouring from the kettle, and a plastic handle that rises about the top of… Full review
