From Moosejaw:
"Free Shipping. Princeton Tec Yukon Extreme Headlamp (Spring 2008) The Yukon Extreme by Princeton Tec is by far the most versatile, longest-burning headlamp in the Princeton Tec line. You ll have the ability to switch between a piercing, high-power Xenon bulb for long-range, high-intensity requirements and 3 regulated Ultrabright LEDs for camp activities and casual trail navigation. The advanced circuit system of the Yukon Extreme allows you to choose from 4 brightness levels of light output to satisfy mountaineers, adventure racers, cyclists, cold-weather climbers, backpackers and campers. The compact, remote, 8 AA battery pack can be clipped to your waist or other gear to minimize the weight on your head. In cold weather, wearing the battery pack under clothing, close to your body, will increase alkaline battery efficiency and run times. The Yukon Extreme is designed to work with alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable batteries. Specifications: Power: 38 Lumens Lamp: 1 Xenon Bulb, 3 Ultrabright LEDs Burn Time: 150 Hours Batteries: 8 AA Alkaline Weight: 421g"

From CampSaver.com:
"Princeton Tec Yukon Extreme Headlamp, 3 L.E.D. - Features a 8 AA remote battery pack for extreme output and burn time, multiple attachment options, dual filament xenon bulb, 3 super bright long burn L.E.D.s with 2 modes, runs on Alkaline, Lithium or Rechargeable batteries and electronic switch with hard push on/off and 4 position soft goggle for output modes."

From REI:
"This headlamp offers extreme output and burn times with a stowable battery pack for great performance during colder weather trips. Features a remote battery pack that can be clipped to your pack, belt or nearly any convenient place. With no batteries weighing it down, the headband is light and comfortable for extended wear. Waterproof design works well in foul weather. Xenon incandescent bulb casts a bright light suitable for following a trail on a dark night. Three efficient, super-bright, long-burn LED bulbs cast smooth, even light over your camping area. Four-position soft toggle for output modes: xenon high, xenon low, LED high and LED low. Electronic switch with hard push on/off prevents headlamp from being switched on accidentally when stowed in your pack. Runs on eight AA batteries--works with either alkaline, lithium or rechargeable batteries. Stow battery pack inside coat to protect batteries from cold, improving their performance. Because battery pack can be stowed inside coat, this headlamp was not tested at 0° F."

"I have had my Yukon Extreme for one year. In that time I have used on a 24-hour bike race, for commuting by bicycle, after-dark XC skiing, hunting, and other activities. This headlamp has not let me down.
It is extremely powerful -- it uses 8 AA batteries."
