Ptarmigan Down Tensleep 3-in-1 Ski Parka
Bought this parka, very nice quality all YKK zips.
Rating: ![]()
Fabric: SuppleTuff (suede like feel)
Fill: 80% Down fill Inset
Price Paid: $89
Bought this parka, very nice quality all YKK zips. Outer material very supple, feels like Schoeller dryskin but they call it Supple Tuff. Had this jacket out in 8 degree weather, it's been cold in the Sierras lately, and was warm because of the zip-out down liner.
Breathes very well with the pit zips open. The hood works well with adjustable draw strings and covers the neck area well with snappable flaps.
There are storm flaps covering all the zippers and pockets.
The inside of the parka has mesh lining with two large pockets. The down jacket zips into the outer shell easily and is held in by Velcro tabs at the top, bottom and cuff areas. Rain and snow is no problem for the shell material, rain beaded up, did not permeate, the shell was dry all day.
When you get too warm just open the pit zips.
Can't say enough about the construction, materials, sewing and stiching quality, zippers, and feel of the outer shell.
For the price this jacket really is a killer deal compared to HH, PATG, MARMOT. Although PTARMIGAN is out of business their apparel for me is tops. A very nice piece of kit.
