Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: leather
Use: gym, outdoor top roping
Price Paid: $80

This is my first shoes. I would recommend them to as a first shoe. They stretch about half the size. Quite durable have them resoled after 8 months of heavy use. Break in very quickly.

Not very well known brand in US, bought em on holidays in UK. Designed by top German climber.

Money well spent.

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Climbers of all skill levels will appreciate the Red ChiliĀ® Sausalito's forgiving asymmetrical shape and supportive midsole. Breathable split-grain leather uppers are flexible and supportive; white contrast stitching enhances looks and reduces stretching. Nylon lining adds comfort by managing moisture inside and works with dual heel loops to ease entry. Easy-fitting asymmetrical center toe shape and medium width, low-volume lasting offer comfort and performance to a broad range of foot shapes. Graduated midsole adds edging power and support on long face routes yet remains flexible enough for effective smears. Grippy rubber rand surrounds lower part of uppers, protecting feet and enhancing friction; two-piece slingshot heel rand keeps toes at front of shoes. Super sticky 5mm Red Chili RX 1 rubber soles stick tenaciously and respond well to all types of rock surfaces. Flexible rubber toe patches add extra support and longevity for crack climbers.
