This snowshoe rivals all others for ease of use and durability. The ultra bindings hold tight and adjust easily with even the thickest of mitts. I use these shoes both to approach climbs and for general leisure hiking in Northern Ontario and Northern Minnesota. I generally carry a pack and the Alpine series gives me plenty of floatation in deep snow. Underbrush is not a problem due to the narrow profile. I can maintain a natural stride and in a pinch can run.
