Okay, these are really cool. I always made fun of those people who use poles. NOW I am a believer. They really help. So I went to REI and purchased some of these. Pretty cool features, like made by Komperdell, duolocks (so you can lock out the anti-shock).

My only complaint is the rather small handgrip. Don't get these if you have big hands.
