User Review: REI Davos Jacket

REI Davos Jacket
Above: The current Davos Jacket, which may differ slightly from the version reviewed.

Rating: rated 3 of 5 stars
Price Paid: $99.99

Warm, lightweight jacket worth the price (especially if you can get it at a discount). However, the shell is made of pretty thin material and is prone to tearing, so care must be taken when wearing this jacket off-trail. I wore it recently on a back-country snowshoeing trip and near the end of the hike snagged the coat on a branch, tearing a two-inch long hole in the shoulder. Luckily, I patched it soon afterwards, but realized this jacket is better suited for wearing around town (probably what it was designed for anyways) or on light hikes than in the backcountry. I would recommend it overall though.
