Been using this boot for two years now.. mostly on…

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Materials: leather, cordura nylon upper, vibram sole
Use: short day hikes/ backpacking/ long treks
Break-in Period: 1 month
Price Paid: 100 usd

Been using this boot for two years now.. mostly on hill walks and some day hikes. But I would not hesitate to use them on a backpacking/hiking or even approach shoe under mid to heavy loads.

Although there are some trouble spots on the shoe especially on the heel, the overall performance won't let you down most especially on the traction and support department. Blisters on the heel side of your foot could mean two things... the boot has too rough a shape and less damping material on that area or you have not been logging too many miles lately, in my case I am definitely sure it's the latter lol.

If you are on a budget, pick this boot. It's another REI classic in the making :)

Happy trails, everyone.
