This 32 oz water bottle holds up to two small bottles of water. It may not be enough for a day hike, but it is still a good match for hiking, even camping or just outside on the go.
It is a little bulky to carry despite the loop around the top when you are out hiking but definitely a good alternative to plastic bottles. It has a hard exterior which is great for durability as it will not break easily, but that means it is not squeezable and possibly not the best fit for a quick drink when hiking or biking.
The mouth is supposed to be narrow, but I think it is still a little wide. It is made of BPA-free material which makes it safe to use over and again and refill it as well as wash it. It does not come with any purification system so it is best used for ready made drinks or clean water.
I use it on a daily basis to measure my daily water intake as the measurements help me keep track of how much water I am drinking and that is a good feature. I have used it for shakes and juices as well and I love that there is no after taste or residue taste in my drink. It is meant to hold hot beverages but I have not tried that yet.
I would recommend the Nalgene water bottle as a convenient way to take your beverage on the go, although not quite for a long hiking trip.
