REI Taku Jacket
See my review on the REI Osmose...everything goes…
Price Paid: $199
See my review on the REI Osmose...everything goes with the Taku too. Added is core vents with mesh lining...will take this skiing, hiking, camping...fits well with fleece or other synthetic insulated sweater added underneath.
Heavier than the Osmose but is also more rugged and looks terrific as does the Osmose. Paid full price for both but they were birthday presents and are both well worth the price. REI brand gear is usually less expensive than a more fancy brand and rarely disappoints. You will not regret your purchase.

The women's REI Taku jacket is a versatile option for your backcountry pursuits. Waterproof, breathable stretch fabric provides the ultimate in comfort and the ultimate in protection. Great for aerobic activities in cold conditions when you may encounter windy, wet weather; use it for alpine touring, climbing, snowshoeing and spring skiing. Seam-taped, breathable 3-layer REI Element(R) laminate blocks rain and winds to 60 mph; shoulders and hood are reinforced to resist abrasion and shed weather. 4-way stretch fabrics and an athletic fit let you move without restriction. Core body vents let you regulate body temperature and are positioned to remain clear of pack straps. Storm hood with side and rear adjustments cinches down for a close fit and unhindered peripheral vision. Wind guard backs main zipper; chin guard protects sensitive skin. All zippers are welded and water resistant. Drawcord hem and adjustable cuffs. 2 hand pockets and 1 chest pocket.
