Summary
Good little pack.
Pros
- Fits in overhead bin on airplanes
Cons
- Lashing straps are short
I bought this because a) I had a gift certificate, and b) I was leaving on a flight the next day and needed something that wasn't a suitcase. I now fly with it all the time, plus I have a day-pack when I get to my destinations. I've hiked and snowshoed with it. Sorry to see it discountinued.

I have been looking for a backpack for some time now and found this on clearance on the REI website. I have enjoyed the space and stability this pack provides. Although it does have a pocket for a water bladder, I would have like to have water bottle pockets on the sides. But I can't beat the price or the quality.

It's a great pack that I have used over and over, and I love the side pocket opening. I can get to the things on the bottom without having to go through the top of the bag. So that you can get to rain gear, or the food, or anything else that you need to get to.
