Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Design: front and top access internal
Size: approx. 3800 cubic inches
Max. Load Carried: 40 lbs
Height of Owner: 5'-8"

The pack has many good features, but lacks some of the features the newer versions ('06 and '07) carry. This one does not have a hydration reservoir - it has always been difficult for me to figure out the best place to carry my bladder in it. I love the top and front access - the front accesses an area that is convenient for sleeping bag carry. The '05 model also does not have a daisy chain on the outside. The number and location of pockets is great and the entire pack is easily adjustable and very comfortable.

I used this for a week-long trip in the Grand Teton area and had no problem carrying everything I needed.

Here's what other sites are saying:

Made just for you, Interplanetary Janet—this multiseason women's backpack has loading options and an easily adjustable suspension! Not just a small men's pack, pack features a slimmer width and height plus anatomically angled, ergonomic shoulder straps to fit a woman's shape. Loads through the top and via a horseshoe-curved-zipper front-panel opening: like a duffel, panel gives complete view of contents. With rip-and-stick torso adjustment, shoulder strap system easily slides on pack's frame to fit torsos of varying lengths. Removable top lid pocket lets you stash some essentials to bring into tent, so pack can stay outside or in vestibule. Zippered pocket under lid stores maps and keys, spare batteries and other small essentials. Front panel features an oversized zippered pocket protected with a waterproof zipper for storing often-used gear. V-pull waistbelt allows you to use a natural pulling motion for quick, easy cinching and precise adjustment. EVA Soft Edge shoulder straps place seams away from your body; cushioned edges provide nonbinding comfort on and off the trail. Durable molded foam backpanel circulates air through channels; the increased ventilation keeps back cool and dry. Precurved waistbelt with a Delrin® hoop cradles hip bones for a natural fit and distributes pack weight without sagging. Internal compartment with zippered divider separates sleeping bag from gear and clothes in the main compartment. Utilizing four buckles, the pack's streamlined compression system cinches down loads for jostle-free carrying. Concave head pod at the top of pack gives your head freedom of movement--no more staring at the ground. External mesh side pockets hold water bottles, energy bars and other essentials you want close at hand. Behind each mesh side pocket is a zippered accessory pocket for keeping gloves, hat or energy gels.
