Fabric: Gore Activent
Price Paid: £75
This jacket is excellent. It is completely windproof and its water vapour porosity rating (breathability) is 24 litres per square metre per day. Most high-tech fabrics only reach 15 litres per square metre per day. It is very water resistant and is featherlight. The small ripstop weave makes it very hard wearing and makes it look good too. Combined with a fleece it is very warm. I also wear it into town. For someone who wants a highly breathable windproof for active sports I cannot recommend it enough. If, however, you are looking for something more waterproof this is not the jacket for you.
