These boots are very stiff, which gives you excellent support for backpacking, the reason why I bought them!
If that's what you're looking for, and you don't mind a litle color in your life, you can't go wrong with these!
Good traction boot with Gore-Tex on top of that!
These are my second pair of Salomon boots! My first pair (not the same type) handled a heavy load very comfortably, the reason why I bought these!
I'll come back and rate these once I've tried them on a trail or with a pack! .
