These are the first pair of 4-season boots I have owned. I've used Trezetta and Zamberlan in the past without any problems but the comfort from the Pro Treks is amazing. They have a Gore-Tex liner so may get a bit hot in summer but probably not in the U.K. (we don't get summers).
I would have prefered a Vibram sole but Salomon's Conta-Grip sole seems fine. The colours are a bit contemporary (light grey Nu-Buck and orange plastic mount points for crampons) but the uppers could be dyed.
I would definitely get them again.
