This is by far the best trail runner I have ever had...

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars

This is by far the best trail runner I have ever had... I have switched from the Salomon XD3 over to this one.. has great cushioning under the heel and toes... much more than the other models. But the shoe does not feel heavy at all. THIS SHOE ROCKS!!!

Description of Salomon Trail Pro 2A light and fast off-road training shoe that dances over everything from muddy single track to boulder fields to doggy fields to doggy doo mined city streets thanks to Salomon's ground breaking, knee-saving SCS cushioning

The Salomon Men's Trail Pro 2 Trail Running Shoe's innovative cushioning system and light weight makes 20-mile trail runs seem well a little less crazy. Salomon placed different density foam under each part of your foot to cushion and control your entire foot strike. Cushioning material in the heel reduces impact, high-density foam under the arch controls pronation, and elastic material under the forefoot releases energy when you push off. The cushioning system, when combined with a breathable and compression-resistant Ortholite insert, limits impacts on the heels, knees, and hips on long training runs to reduce pain and injury. To tighten the Trail Pro 2, simply slip in your foot, pull the drawcord, and then tuck it under the lace pocket on the tongue. Salomon gave this performance trail runner an aggressive, toothy Contragrip outsole for traction on uneven terrain.

Whether you're training for an adventure race or going for a quick trail run after work, the lightweight Salomon Men's Trail Pro 2 Running Shoe gives you ample cushioning, support, and stability. From single track to boulder fields to city streets, Salomon's SCS cushioning system reduces heel strike impact, controls pronation, and provides forefoot responsiveness that puts a spring in your step. Salomon's Quickfit lacing system works with Sensifit technology to give you a custom, pressure-point-free fit that cinches in an instant. As you skip through creeks and cruise down muddy trails, the Trail Pro 2 Shoes' breathable mesh uppers dry quickly, while their Running Contagrip soles provide bomber traction.

A do-it-all, feature loaded training shoe, the Salomon Men's Trail Pro 2 Trail Running Shoe glides over everything from muddy woodland valleys to neighborhood blacktop. The Salomon Cushioning System keeps your knees happy, offering a special rubberized EVA in the heel for performance that improves shock absorption by a factor 25 . The low-profile Quickfit lacing system is another highlight, providing a secure fit with the simple pull of a slider. And for confidence boosting traction the Running Contagrip outsole places multi-directional lugs and forefoot flex grooves in strategic locations for a grip that bites on varied terrain in assorted weather conditions.
